See you at Workshop Stage #1 on July 1st β€” and don't forget your laptop!

Theory ends here. In this interactive session, participants take on the role of a SOC analyst responding to two real-world attack scenarios inside NetWitness Network Detection & Response β€” a full-packet capture platform that treats the network as a forensic black box.

Scenario one: a targeted phishing campaign is bypassing email gateways and landing in employee inboxes. Scenario two: a workstation has been silently compromised through a drive-by exploit and ransomware is spreading across the network. In both cases, the only source of truth is the network traffic β€” and the challenge is to find the answers inside it.

The session combines live platform demonstration with a challenge-based format: questions are drawn directly from real attack data, and every answer has to be earned from the evidence.

This session is designed for security practitioners who work hands-on with detection and response β€” SOC analysts (L1/L2), threat hunters, detection engineers, and security architects who want to experience what full-packet visibility looks like in practice.

It is equally relevant for CISOs and security managers seeking a ground-level understanding of how network forensics closes the gaps that endpoint agents and SIEM rules leave open.

Basic familiarity with network protocols and security concepts is sufficient; experience with SIEM, EDR, or Wireshark is a plus but not required.
